Anonymous | Yes, the driving student is "going there anyhow", only information technology'due south still a big assist to OP and that's what y'all're acknowledging past paying an beholden corporeality. My kid rode with a neighbor to his private school last twelvemonth in the mornings and it was a huge help to me. No, she didn't use an boosted dollar of gas taking my kid, but that wasn't solely what I was reimbursing for. |

No, she didn't use an additional dollar of gas taking my kid, merely that wasn't solely what I was reimbursing for. Hmm, I'm gonna disagree. Fine to throw the older kid a $twenty bill every at present and so but to give him $20 EVERY week? That seems inappropriate and makes it transactional, when it should just be a dainty, potentially fun, thing to practise. It's not a task, lol. |

Anonymous | When my DDs rode in morning carpools the drivers (2 different people) charged $2 per ride. That was like shooting fish in a barrel because I just had them give $x on Fridays. It was more user-friendly, warmer, and still cheaper than taking the metro! |

Anonymous | Our teen neighbour wont accept money. Her parents won't let her, so I requite her a Starbucks card or gas card every now and then. It'south more of a give than paying for the ride. The girls are friends at present anyway. Why do nosotros have to make everything so hard. |

I'd allow my DC to take information technology because he'd have to deal with waiting or talking to the person to and from school. If I felt it was costing more in gas, then I'd tell DC he could use some of that coin towards gas. |

Anonymous | Does the driver have to pay for parking? At some schools the students accept to pay for parking so that is a consideration, besides. Each of our kids has either been the rider or the commuter over the past vii-viii years at their respective loftier schools. Every bit the rider, our kids take given the commuter $25 each week for v morning drives. An additional $2-3 for rides home. Each of our kids who has been a commuter has received similar, $twenty or $25, from his/her passengers for v morning time rides to school. |
